i see the eyeball lamp is still doing you right. you made fun of that lamp at first...
anyway, people all around the world live in small places like this. in sweden(i'm not joking, i saw it on oprah) the normal thing is to live in a 700 sq ft flat with minimal stuff and they all sleep in the same room.
so actually, you've just been americanized to think that you need more space. you'll be fine there. God will work something out.
Thanks for your honesty. Despite just blogging about how God hears my prayers and answers them, I've just finished a little hissy fit about the $700 in surprise bills that I have incurred just this week.... Good thing he loves us despite our temper tantrums to him.
We've dealt with the "wanting more space" thing too. My husband (I like typing that, we got married on Saturday) reminds me that we don't NEED more space, we WANT it, we've been blessed to have a lovely tiny home where we are all together and not spread out away from each other. I always think, "what if we have a baby? then what? Where does the baby sleep?" He says: babies don't need nurseries, babies need love. they don't know if they're sleeping in a bedroom or a dining room. just love them. Brilliant! I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need what other people have. Our house is a home. Seems to me like your house is a lovely home too.
our boy sleeps in a closet, too. i know what you're going through...it is tough. God has you where he wants you and you can rest in that wherever that is!
I know you wrote this a while ago. Jumped on over from Jami's. (Like I know her but 'whatev') Anyway, as people have commented, God has you where you should be. Remember, things aren't always what they seem. The good Lord may be saving you from a disastrous financial situation or the like. Enjoy your beautiful home and know a change will happen when the time is right.
PS: George is adorable! PSS: Have you considered renting it out and renting yourself?

Your home is lovely. Although I am sure you would like more space for your growing family, many people would be giddy to live in such a nice home.

One of my favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. I thought of it when I read this.
PS you know my house looks like the before version of this all the time.
